Sadly, there is no way to avert wisdom teeth from impacting. However, there are a few things you can do to keep your oral cavity healthy even if you have wisdom teeth. Read on to find out more, and be sure to follow these tips!
The major problem with erupted wisdom teeth is that they can be difficult to clean. To keep your mouth clean when you have wisdom teeth, be sure to spend a tiny bit of additional time brushing and cautiously clean every one of the wisdom teeth at the back of your dental arches.
While brushing twice per day is great, it isn’t enough on its own: flossing and rinsing with mouthwash are additional ways to keep your mouth clean and healthy. If you are not able to floss your wisdom teeth with traditional floss, think about using a water flosser.
Follow the instructions on your mouthwash to get the most results out of it; don’t forget to look for an ADA seal when selecting the mouthwash. By brushing, flossing, rinsing with mouthwash and visiting our office for exams frequently, you’ll be able to keep your oral cavity healthy.
